Book covers

The idea for this book cover comes from the story. The artist in the story is in a constant battle with his "masterpiece" he can never get the female in the foreground of the painting's head correct or to his liking through out the story he is constantly removing the head and changing it. So the idea was to take a sketch which was done by Manet, one of Zola's inspiration's for the book, and cut out the letters of masterpiece in the cover. The A blocks the head in the sketch translating the missing head in the artist's painting in the book.

I really would like some feed back on these and I'm open to any and all suggestions as well
